Mary Ann Strandell

Mary Ann Strandell’s works are a movable terrain between image, media and their myriad histories. She works with painting, ink, optical-lenticular media, and installation exploring concepts of location, memory and time. Using historic architecture and cultural memes, her primary sources of traditional oil painting and drawing are often re-engineered from single planar views into the multivalent 3d lenticular media. Her painting studio is in Chelsea, NYC.
